On behalf of our client, we are in search of a proficient Financial Accountant to join their team under a hybrid working arrangement. This role presents the chance to contribute to various financial accounting tasks across multiple entities, including the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, among other accounting duties. Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant

In your role as a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial part in supporting various financial accounting tasks. You will assist with the preparation and filing of Statutory Financial Statements, Corporation tax returns, and VAT returns. You will have the chance to engage in Month End Close and Year End Close tasks. Moreover, you will perform specific tasks within the wider group of companies as necessary.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of Statutory Financial Statements
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of Corporation tax returns
  • Support with VAT returns, Intrastat reporting and responding to VAT enquiries
  • Oversee fixed asset verification process as required
  • Engage in Month End Close and Year End Close tasks
  • Participate in annual Insurance submission process
  • Perform specific tasks within the wider group of companies where necessary

What the successful candidate will bring

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporation tax, statutory accounting, and VAT
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to elucidate complex financial matters clearly
  • Experience with SAP is beneficial
  • Audit experience is favourable
