Finance Manager
- Annual Salary: Up to £210 a day

- Job Type: 6-month fixed-term contract, full-time
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a growing construction company based in Medway. This is an urgent position, ideal for a professional who is available at short notice and has prior experience in the construction industry. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the financial operations and financial planning of the company.
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
- Develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Manage and lead the budgeting process.
- Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g., auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organisations.
- Produce accurate financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager within the construction industry.
- Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software.
- Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Must be available to start at short notice.
