The Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Director to deliver a brand new development of 146 Units across 2 low rise traditional build blocks in Southend on Sea, Essex. You will join the business early, with the project starting in October 2024 allowing you to oversee final pre-con for the scheme. It's an important development for the company to impress their client, with a site based client side Project Manager on site full time. This project has a 2 year build and you will have the opportunity to recruit a team that consists of a Site Manager for each block, 3 Assistant Site Managers, Trainees, and direct labour.

This position is a 2 year fixed term contract, which will likely lead on to an extension for another project or a permanent role.

What they are looking for

Experience in apartment schemes is vital for this opportunity. Whilst it's also important to have seen projects from inception to completion, experience in working for both a developer and a main contractor, and used to dealing regularly with the client and their team.

The Company

Our client is a nationwide residential developer specialising in a mixture of low rise apartment schemes and over 55+'s/over 75's care home developments; owned and backed my an American private equity firm. The business enjoys a very low turnover of staff with years of staff retention above 90%, and both a recent and long term history of striving for quality and winning awards for all aspects of their business - but especially for their sites and site managers with the NHBC and over awards.
