Compliance Officer (Core Compliance)

About the Role

Here at Border to Coast, we're now looking for an Interim Compliance Officer to ensure effective compliance and anti-financial crime oversight is planned, performed and reported. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer, you'll ensure the Gifts and Hospitality process operates effectively and appropriate anti-inducement training and procedures are effectively maintained.

Monitoring compliance-related attestations obtained by HR for Colleagues and Directors, and both designing and preparing associated governance MI, you'll provide management support to the HoC & MLRO, to ensure an effective Personal Account dealing process and approval mechanism is in place, along with processes to counter the risk of insider trading.

About You

We'd like our Compliance Officer to be professionally qualified (e.g. CISI or IA) or have the equivalent experience of working in a compliance or a financial crime capacity. With high levels of integrity and trustworthiness and outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you'll have the ability to create a culture of managing to deadlines while ensuring quality of outputs.

With strong knowledge of conduct and financial crime (including fraud-related) issues, and how they can impact on financial services companies, and in particular institutional investment officers, you'll show strength of character and credibility to objectively challenge senior management and/or functional heads within Border to Coast.
