The Role
The Head of Commercial Finance is seeking to hire a high calibre Commercial Finance Analyst that can support both the operations and commercial functions of the business. The role can be considered a hybrid where the individual helps prepare the monthly management accounts, then utilises the data & MI to influence decision making, strategy and direction.
The key components of the role will include:
Management Accounting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Ensuring a robust month end close
- Balance sheet integrity
- Feeding into annual audit
Commercial Analysis
- Business partnering with non-financial stakeholders/departments
- KPI setting & reporting
- Variance analysis
- Budget & forecasting
On Offer
The role of Commercial Finance Analyst is based in Edinburgh with excellent hybrid and flexible working available. The position will offer:
- Up to £45,000 base salary, although they will consider £48,000 for someone exceptional
- Excellent bonus

Candidate Profile

- Part Qualified Accountant - still actively studying
- Strong management accounting experience
- Can demonstrate commercial exposure - budget, forecasting, variance analysis
- Proficient user of Excel
