Job Title: Facilities Service Coordinator

Trust: Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT

Location: Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Thorne Road, Doncaster, DN2 5LT

Pay rate: £12.86 per hour.

Rota and Hours: Mondays - Fridays, 8am - 4pm (flexibility require in terms of seeing all staff on different shift patterns)

Job Purpose:

You will provide daily support to the Facilities Lead, overseeing cleaning, catering, and portering services, and managing a team to ensure high-quality standards within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
  • Supervise and support Team Leaders and Service Assistants.
  • Approve work schedules and annual leave.
  • Manage staff performance, training, and handle grievances or disciplinary actions.
  • Service Oversight:
  • Ensure cleaning, food service, patient movement, and waste disposal meet standards.
  • Organize and manage deep cleaning programs.
  • Respond to emergencies and major incidents.
  • Compliance & Quality:
  • Conduct audits, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Complete Risk Assessments and manage health and safety protocols.
  • Budget Management:
  • Help manage budgets, control costs, and find efficiencies.
  • Communication:
  • Coordinate with teams and stakeholders to manage workload and priorities.
  • Participate in department meetings and discussions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing facilities or related services.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Experience in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and MS Teams.
