Computer Science teacher - Manchester - January start

Prospero teaching are recruiting for a full time computer science teacher at a secondary school in Manchester. The role will be a full time role and will be for the spring & summer terms, until July 2025. It is essential that you are a qualified Computer Science teacher, hold QTS, have recent experience teaching computer science in a UK school and have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum.

It is essential that you have recent teaching experience in the UK and that you have recently taught the latest curriculum to key stage 3 & 4 classes. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons that are designed to stretch the pupils and raise the attainment in the department. You will also be expected to mark the work and provided feedback to pupils and attend departmental meetings as and when required.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a BA and PGCE in Computer Science
Confident with teaching Computer science
Confident teaching general cover classes to KS3 & 4
Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Innovative and creative teaching strategies and lessons
Aim to strive towards good and outstanding standards
ICT capable with interactive whiteboards etc.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

UK classroom teaching experience
Eligibility to work in the UK
Be able to provide 2 professional references
A fully enhanced DBS that is on the update service, or be willing to obtain a new one
Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)
Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, training can be provided)
