We are recruiting Bar and Events Assistants on a temporary contract to join Coventry University Event and Operational Team, to delivery a high-end bar service and excellent customer service during Events and Sports Fixtures at their sites at Square One (Coventry Campus) and Westwood Heath (near Warwick University).
As a Bar and Events Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:
- Meet, great and welcome all customers in a polite manner
- Processes all cash and card transactions
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Carry out bar duties in line with University responsible drinking guidelines (Challenge 21)
- Being able to take orders and serve drinks
- Pour and serve drinks accurately to maintain customer expectations and reduce product wastage
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all customers and staff
- Support the venues in event set up, delivery and pack down
- Deal with customer complaints and in a prompt, profession and proactive manner
- Report any maintenance or safety issues whilst on shift
Skills and experience required for the role:
- Customer service experience essential, previous bar experience advantageous
- Flexible
- Organised
- Good communication skills
- Team Player
- Able to work within a busy environment
- Able to handle conflict, and work within a calm manner
Hours/Pay Rate:
Part time mainly evenings and weekends between Monday to Sunday
£11.44 p/h
Temporary until end of October 2024
