An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Group Finance team for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us on a permanent basis. We're open to discussion on the experience level of candidates, however, ideally you'll have experience in a similar role. You will report directly to the Senior Management Accountant and be involved in taking responsibility for the accounting of Van Monster and Van Monster Fleet Management businesses, along with the chance to get involved in plenty of interesting project work.
Specifically, you'll get involved in raising sales invoices, prepayments/accruals and producing management accounts. You'll also work to provide meaningful variance analysis between actuals and budget to help the business understand drivers for Financial Performance, and input as required to the year-end consolidation reporting.

Salary –£25,000 - £30,000 per annum based on experience.

About you
- First and foremost, you are currently pursuing your AAT qualification or working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
- You'll have excellent attention to detail and ability to plan, organise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You're able to use initiative, make reasoned decisions under pressure and are driven by process improvement.
- You have a solid understanding of general ledger processes and systems, with the ability to recommend improvements.
- Your ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a professional manner will be crucial.
- Above all, you will have strong Excel skills, which are essential to succeed in this role.
