We are seeking a committed and inspiring Humanities Teacher, specializing in History and Religious Education, to join a dynamic Humanities department in a local secondary school. This long-term position is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching both History and RE, and fostering a comprehensive understanding of human cultures and beliefs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured History and RE lessons tailored to students' individual needs.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge in both History and Religious Education, incorporating relevant curriculum developments.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in both subjects, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets.
- Support students' academic and personal development through effective tutoring and mentoring.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives across both disciplines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching History and Religious Education at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
