First Water Ramsbury Ltd, part of the world-leading Gentell group, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Technical and Scientific Services (TSS) team. In this maternity cover position (available immediately), you'll be responsible for providing high-quality data to support the development and validation of new wound care products. There is potential for this role to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including balances, pH meters, and water activity meters.
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
- Assist with product stability and shelf-life programs.
- Calibrate all testing equipment.
- Plan experiments with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Prepare clear and concise scientific reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

The Person
- Degree-level qualification in a scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment.
- Ability to work independently, developing and executing laboratory procedures.
- Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
Additional desirable skills:
- Experience with hydrogels or super-absorbent materials.
- Experience in product stability and shelf-life validations.
- Knowledge of Medical Devices and FDA/ISO Quality Systems.
- Proficiency in Minitab software.
- Experience in a New Product Development (NPD) environment.
