St Austell Brewery is recruiting an experienced Credit
Control Manager who will have oversight and accountability for the credit control
activities of the Company. The successful candidate will lead our credit
control team and collaborate with wider business stakeholders, to ensure all
teams are aligned in their objectives to minimise bad debt whilst maximising
profit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing strategies to increase successful collections
on outstanding debt and improve efficiency in ways of working
- Establishing effective partnerships with customers and
internal stakeholders across the business
- Hosting regular debt review meetings with key stakeholders
to ensure business leaders have visibility of the debt profile of their area
and ensuring a collaborative approach to resolving problematic accounts
- Analysing data and preparing detailed reports on the status
of credit and collections, highlighting key metrics and areas of concern
- Lead, co-ordinate and mentor the credit control team,
setting clear objectives and performance standards and conducting regular team
meetings
- Managing complex account queries and resolving or escalating
problems as they arise
- Monitoring outstanding debts, proactively contacting
customers to ensure timely payments and negotiating debt repayment plans
- Oversight for assessing creditworthiness of new and existing
clients to minimise financial risk
About You
- Strong experience in credit control with substantial experience in
a management or supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator
- Experience using ERP accounting software
