Management Accountant
Day Rate £173.00 - £211.00 ( £45000.00 - £55000.00)
A returning logistics business are seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and reviewing monthly journals, managing audit processes, and working closely with P&L owners to ensure accurate reporting. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in transactional-heavy organisations and a keen eye for improving financial processes.
Day to Day of the role:
- Process and review monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments to ensure financial accuracy.
- Balance intercompany accounts with transactional teams, other management accounts, and group entities.
- Manage the audit process and develop relationships with external auditors.
- Adhere to and develop internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary.
- Work closely with individual P&L owners to ensure accurate monthly reporting and alignment with the budget.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
- Guide the transactional accounting team on key coding corrections and improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified with an underlying degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Part or fully qualified CIMA or ACCA.
- Experience in transactional-heavy organisations, e.g., Cargo/Aviation industry, industrial services, or manufacturing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commercial and business awareness.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
