IT Technician
Hartlepool
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team on a temporary basis with our Hartlepool based client. This role will involve providing comprehensive IT support across all aspects of operations. You will be the primary point of contact for resolving IT-related issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and supporting the team with any technical challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving IT problems.
- Manage and maintain computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
- Monitor and respond to IT service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Support users with IT-related queries and provide training where necessary.
- Work closely with our group IT function in Switzerland to ensure alignment with company-wide IT policies and procedures.
- Ensure data security and backup systems are functioning correctly.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure all equipment is properly documented and updated.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technician role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common software applications.
- Experience with server management and network administration is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
This is a temporary position to cover the absence of the current onsite IT Technician. The duration of the role may vary depending on the needs of the business.
