Facilities Service Delivery Supervisor

Job Purpose

A key member of the Facilities and Estates Management team, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Facilities and Estates manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and management of the following services.

  • Maintenance
  • Catering
  • Housekeeping
  • Landscaping

A key element to the role will require the candidate to monitor and maintain the delivery of services for contractors and the safe delivery of the department's services.

The facilities service delivery supervisor will be the daily point of contact for the team regarding HR related issues, along with the coordination of recruitment and daily management of conduct and absence reporting. The successful candidate will be required to work with all departments to continuously identify improvements to the services required.

  • Facilities and Estate Manager
  • Heads of departments across the hospice
  • Department supervisors, Housekeeping, Catering, Landscaping and Maintenance.
  • Direct reports-Facilities and Estates Administration Coordinator and Maintenance Assistants
  • Contractors and Suppliers.

Key Responsibilties

  • Line Manager, support and develop the facilities and estate Administration co-ordinators under the supervision of the head of estate and facilities
  • Provide a safe, secure, clean, fit-for-purpose environment for all site users and visitors. Ensuring that all Health and Safety measures are met and compiled with.
  • Be responsible for the performance and appraisals of all premise related staff inline with the Hospice's outlined policies and procedures.
  • Monitor work routines on a regular basis
  • Develop efficient working relationships with all key department supervisors making sure that all procedures and standards are maintained by estate staff.
  • Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is completed within budget and timescale, while also ensuring all urgent repairs are archived within a given time frame so that the hospice's environment is safe, comfortable and fully operational.
  • Key Skills IOSH or equivalent qualification for Health and Safety IOSH Fire Safety accredited
  • A good understanding of Risk Management regarding fire, legionella, electrical and asbestos compliance
  • Minimum 3 years in Facility and Estate experience Comfortable building and establishing relationships with existing stakeholders, and wider internal teams
  • Being able to work a deal with work schedules of planned and repair works
  • Display a positive attitude to any day to day issues which may occur.
