Our client, a top 10 UK accountancy firm, is currently seeking a Partnership Tax Director to join their team. As a senior member of the firm, the director will oversee the tax affairs of partnerships and their partners, ensuring compliance with current legislation while also identifying opportunities for tax efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of the UK tax system, particularly as it pertains to partnerships and LLPs, and the ability to apply this knowledge to a variety of complex situations.
The director will be expected to lead on tax planning initiatives, providing expert advice on matters ranging from non-domiciled status to exit strategies. They will manage the tax affairs of international partners and be involved in leading ad-hoc tax projects, which may include cross-border considerations.
The role demands a professional qualification in tax or accountancy, a background in partnership and/or corporate tax, and experience either in-house or within a tax practice. Project management skills are essential, as is the ability to develop staff and manage a team effectively. The director must be proactive, driven, and able to handle strict deadlines with a positive outlook.
