Café Catering Assistant with an understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety and good knowledge of worldwide cuisines is required to help prepare all types of food for a Schools Trust, based in Stanmore, North West London.
This role is known within the organisation as a Sixth Form Cafe Coordinator
Training Provided - whilst experience within a kitchen, café, cafeteria, catering venue, restaurant or front of house/FOH would be preferred, it is not essential to this role as long as candidates have an understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety.
SALARY: £12.80 per hour
LOCATION: Stanmore, North West London (HA7)

The Café Catering Assistant will be organised and passionate about all things catering and the role will be to deliver the 6th form care food and beverage service to staff and 6th form students.
The café is an exciting hub where freshly made sandwiches, snacks and drinks are available for students and staff to purchase.
The catering service is all about precise, beautifully designed and nourishing menus. They cater for a healthy vegetarian diet, and provide food that is good for the body, mind and soul. Feel good food that genuinely uplifts you, the catering service currently provide over 4000 meals daily nationwide and support over 9 schools. Their menus are designed by nutritional experts who understand the blend between satisfying children's tastes and providing them with essential food types for their growth and development.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Café Catering Assistant will include:
- Prepare all types of food in line with the 6th form café requirements or to pack meals as needed
- Manage online orders and prepare for collection in a prompt and professional manner
- Participate in ensuring the smooth running of all operations
- Liaise and co-operate with the Chef manager to follow and respect their request and orders
- Assist in all aspects of the day-to-day duties as and when required in the kitchen and Front of House, ensuring that the required catering service is successfully delivered daily basis
- Preparation of meals and or packing, observing all Quality, Hygiene and Food Safety requirements
- Receipt, handling, storage, stock rotation, decanting and counting of all deliveries
- Removal of waste from the manufacturing areas and recycling in line with the policy
- Ensure full compliance with all areas of Health and Safety during the preparation and storage of food, including observing and maintaining COSHH, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) records & temperature controls, as requested.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen health and safety
- Ability to follow strict instructions in a systematic and consistent manner
- Good knowledge of worldwide cuisines (Asian, European, Mexican etc)
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
Desirable
- Kitchen Experience or Front of House Experience
- Good Organisational Skills
- Ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
- Ability to work in a group and independently
- Experience of using EPOS system
