Reed Accountancy are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a leading motor retail company based in West Reading. You will be working closely with the Dealership Accountant to ensure the smooth operation of the accounts department and the accuracy of all accounting records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a very flexible and adaptable attitude, thriving in a forward-thinking retail environment.
Duties for the role include, but are not limited to
- Daily bank reconciliations and banking for all customer payments
- Purchase ledger invoicing, including coding to correct department.
- Investigation of any discrepancies
- Supplier payment runs
- Sales ledger invoicing of all vehicle purchases
- Warranty SBI
- Answering and dealing with any supplier queries.
- Bonus Credit notes
- Statement reconciliations
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of working within an accounts role and have a strong understanding of Excel spreadsheets. Previous knowledge of Kerridge would be desirable but is not essential as full training will be given. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their accounting knowledge within a busy retail environment.
