An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join one of our clients in the Logistics and Transportation industry. Our client, a global brand operating in 40 different countries, is looking for a Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join their team in Barking.
The Responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant / Driver
- Strong FLT (Forklift Truck) experience - Reach & Counterbalance Forklifts are used within their warehouse.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Ensure all orders are received accurately and in accordance with requirements.
- Liaise with third-party delivery companies, pick orders, and load all vehicles.
- Report any physical aspects affecting the warehouse building to the Management Team.
- Handle quality control matters within the warehouse environment.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures, monitoring and ensuring compliance.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Management team, as well as the Service and Distribution departments.
- Aid in loading and driving deliveries to site/customer when required.
The Warehouse Assistant / Driver will have the following Attributes:
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
- High standard of verbal and written communication in English, fluency in Polish is preferred.
- Good organisational skills, methodical, able to manage own workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a team player, capable of working with peers towards achieving business objectives.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility to work at other warehouse locations when required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Possess a 'Reach / Counterbalance' Forklift Truck Licence (preferred).

Pay: £22,500.00-£24,500.00 per year
