An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller FTC in the heart of Birmingham. This role is with one of the world's fastest-growing commercial real estate firms, known for its commitment to clients and employees. What you'll do:
As a Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless credit control service to internal and external clients on all matters relating to tenant debt collection. You will be responsible for maximising collection performance while ensuring full visibility of our client's debtor ledger profile. Your role will involve maintaining tenant ledgers, managing unallocated cash, and providing regular reports to internal and external clients. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Manage Real Estate Management credit control
- Ensure collection of rents and service charges within specific timeframes
- Maintain proactive contact with tenants, assisting in identifying disputes and potential non-payers
- Work closely with the cashiering team to ensure accurate and timely cash allocation
- Provide advice to stakeholders on the status of debt and suggest next steps
- Liaise with enforcement officers and solicitors in debt escalation matters
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with Surveyors, Client Accountants, reporting progress of debts
- Contribute to continuous improvement in process and procedural sphere
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Credit Controller role will bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A proven track record in achieving KPI's and internal team targets is essential. Experience in property management and working in a high-volume collection environment would be advantageous. Proficiency in Excel reporting is required, along with excellent communication skills.
