I am recruiting for a Junior Demand/Production Controller for a repeat client in the Feltham area, who have previously won the 'Company of the Year' award for two consecutive years in a row! My client is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing industry, specialising in filtration and separation equipment. The Demand/Production Controller will lead and direct the team with a key focus on output and on-time delivery of customer orders through different department. This is a permanent, office-based position working from Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break.
Main duties:
- Responsibility for all customer orders and logistics within the filtration sector, ensuring quality and on time delivery.
- Responsibility for the production and build schedules, handling contracts, sign and return.
- Assist with the purchasing and procurement of goods and materials.
- Acting as a link between the shop floor and back office - problem solving, demand planning and facilitating shop floor needs.
- To be responsible for the completion of your departments production KPI's, daily recording, weekly statistics and production reports.
- Demand & cost planning, identifying continual improvements to ensure procedures are cost effective and aligned to business / product requirements.
- To be responsible for the maintenance, safety and upkeep of the production, plant and other equipment under your control.
- Liaising frequently with other departments including Procurement, Stock Control, Production Control, Costing, Production Engineering, Quality, Development, Manufacturing and Sales
- To introduce modern practices to create a culture for improvement, communication, empowerment, teamwork, and engagement.
- To assist with the recruitment and training of new employees within your departments.
Key requirements:
- Strong production planning/coordinating experience, incl. managing schedules, planning resources & procuring goods.
- Demand/Production Planner experience, working within the shop environment.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical/CAD drawings.
- Computer literate and experience using both Outlook and Excel.
- Stock management, procurement and cost/demand planning experience would be ideal.
Benefits & package:
- Base salary of £26,000 - £28,000
