Part-time (3 days per week) Temp Internal Communications Officer - £17-£18 an hour - Classic Charity

A leading prestigious historic charity with grand offices in Victoria/ Sloane Square is looking for a brilliant Internal Communications Officer to cover a 9 month maternity leave for 3 days per week on a temporary basis. They are looking for someone who can work 3 days a week for circa 9 months. This role requires someone to be on site at least 2 days a week, ideally 3 days a week.

The principal accountabilities are:

  • Ensure the internal communications and engagement is consistent, on brand and embedded into all areas to help deliver a positive employee experience.
  • Manage campaigns and events and align messaging to support key organisational strategies and priorities, coordinating with those responsible for communicating to other internal stakeholders.
  • Encourage and manage effective two-way communications between staff and the leadership team, collaborating with HR and other departments as required.
  • Develop effective networks at all levels of the business, building a rapport with staff 'on the ground' and advise and influence senior leadership including the CEO on internal communications.
  • Manage the regular staff engagement programme of events including promoting and chairing the meetings, booking in dates and speakers, preparing presentations and messaging, setting agendas and sharing minutes in a timely fashion.
  • Be the point of contact for the Intranet supplier, and deliver and manage the content to ensure it is user-friendly, up to date and relevant to help continue to drive staff engagement.
  • Work closely with the HR director, to manage staff feedback and communicate insights and actions in a timely and meaningful way, ensuring that staff feel heard (e.g. Staff Survey, Staff Forum, staff ideas scheme).
  • Be the point of contact for the change management consultants, working closely with the CEO, and support the roll-out of the change management efforts to all staff.
  • Coordinate a small team to deliver the Christmas Party, and collaborate with EDI, events, and catering teams to deliver other key staff events throughout the year.
