Customer Sales Advisor

WE talent are proud to be supporting our client in Braintree who are seeking a full-time telephone Sales Advisor to join their team

If you have previous Sales experience in any setting and are happy working to individual and team targetsthis role offers a fantastic opportunity to increase your earnings.

This role is based in the retail sector and you will be taking incoming customer orders and upselling/recommending products. This is a consultative / soft sell and the client prioritises the right products for the right customers. Whilst you will be working to targets they are achievable and reasonable. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone working in a face to face sales role who wants an office based team role.

  • Full-time Permanent
  • To work on site in Braintree
  • 8 hour shifts over 5 days (to include some weekends)

Responsibilities:

  • Take inbound calls from customers wishing to purchase products they have seen in brochures, in advertisements (press and TV), email and online
  • Listen, question and understand customers needs to recommend appropriate products for their budget and lifestyle and take the customer through the order process
  • Sell appropriately, ensuring customers receive the right items to minimise returns
  • Gain customers' trust by treating them with the respect and care you would like to receive using patience and empathy
  • Upsell additional relevant products as you move through the order process
  • Build rapport with customers, even in complex situations, and maintain the brand's reputation
  • Look up product information using the appropriate systems and website

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to meet and exceed sales targets
  • An interest to learn about the products to give you the ability to advise customers accurately
  • Empathy and understanding towards customer needs
  • Ability to handle challenging customer interactions with professionalism and tact
  • IT literate and comfortable using CRM systems and software

Desirable:

  • Experience in a call centre / retail environment
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
