Hooray are delighted to be supporting a long standing client to assist in the recruitment for an Assistant Headteacher to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. My client are one of the largest providers of education and care for children & young people with a range of complex disabilities.

As an Assistant Head, you will:

  • Work in partnership with the Head of School & Principle to ensure effective day to day management and school community
  • Support CPD for classroom based staff, ensuring their needs are identified and met through quality training opportunities
  • Be responsible for collating evidence for specific sections of the school's self-assessment report
  • Hold responsibility for SENCO across the school
  • Contribute to the development of the school as a community, strengthening partnerships with families, neighbours and other school

To be successful as an Assistant Head, you will:

  • Hold a recognised teacher training qualification
  • Hold or be willing to achieve National Award for special educational needs co-ordinator (NASENCO)
  • Have a proven track record of excellent creative and structured teaching within SEN environments
  • It would be advantageous to hold accredited training in special education, eg. Autism, Dyslexia etc, however, not essential

My client are offering an annual salary of up to £51,000. Please note, this is a full-time permanent opportunity.
