Client Details

Our client is a leading transport service provider with sites across the UK. The Transport Shift Manager will be based at one of their sites in Maidstone who will be responsible for a team of up to 70 drivers.

Description

The Transport Shift Manager will be responsible for the below:

  • Shift Leadership: Lead and manage a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during your shift.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor and manage transport schedules, adjusting to real-time demands to ensure timely and safe patient transportation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all vehicles and staff adhere to health and safety regulations, including vehicle maintenance and staff training.
  • Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for any on-shift issues, providing resolutions that ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Profile

The successful Transport Shift Manager should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience in transport management, preferably within the healthcare or patient transport sector.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.
