Data And Compliance Officer

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Data And Compliance Officer for our client a local government organisation in Southampton.

The successful candidate will support the health and care category procurement team to deliver end to end procurement processes in accordance with legislation and policies to consistently achieve value for money in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensure that the council's contract register is accurate and fit for purpose.

This is initially a 3 month contract with the possibility to extend after that date. In this role the majority of the work will be remote with occasional office working days or meetings face-to-face.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Undertake analysis of the council's contract register to identify items of missing or incorrect information.
  • Collect and manage data across the Supplier management service systems and from internal / external stakeholders.
  • Using various on and offline data sources update the organisation's contract register to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations and corporate requirements.
  • Produce reports regarding the council's contract register to be used in planning and for publication.
  • Offering support regarding the accurate completion of contract regards to procurement & contract management colleagues when necessary.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post.

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience in a support type role and has been part of a team that has provided procurement support or potentially an individual that has worked in a contract management area (Desirable).
  • Use of e procurement tender portals is an advantage, particularly Proactis.
  • Experience in using Microsoft teams and sharepoint are an advantage or willingness to learn these skills from the offset.
  • Experience of procuring or managing frameworks or having a general understanding of how frameworks or dynamic purchasing systems work would be beneficial.
  • Develop competence of the use of Public Procurement Regulations 2023 in tendering and gain knowledge of how this is applied in a Local Authority environment.
  • Competent utilising e-Procurement techniques.

_Working Hours: _ 22hrs, days are flexible and are up for discussion.

Pay: £22.32 p/h
