Position: Industrial Services Senior Operative (Supervisory role)
The Role
- To supervise and deliver Industrial services projects efficiently and manage the team of operatives (employed and agency) to deliver on time in full in line with project scope.
- To ensure compliance with operating procedures, risk assessments and method statements
- To always maintain the safety of all personnel and members of the public as the number one priority
- To ensure all work areas are safe, secure, clean, and tidy by the end of each working day, including any company transport used.
- To assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles when required.
- To Provide cover for others during scheduled absence and deliver projects both in the UK and abroad.
- To ensure site operatives are issued with correct equipment to carry out tasks and maintain them.
- Drain and Interceptor cleaning using UHP (Ultra High Pressure) jetting equipment. This requires a licence because of the high pressures of the equipment, some can cut through concrete and steel.
Additional details about the role.
- Decontamination of chemical equipment, areas, stores or laboratories in and around the chemical, industrial and university industries.
- Re-packing of hazardous materials into new UN Approved containers
- Site remediation, clean-up of contaminated soils, hazardous materials after spills.
- High pressure water jet cleaning of storage tanks on both industrial and chemical sites, this also requires both a water jetting licence.
- Confined Space Rescue certs, we provide a standby team when required if engineers or inspectors are testing or inspecting tanks, silos.

The Person
Essential skills
- Experience in Industrial Services/ chemical waste industry.
- Positive attitude, good communication and relationship building skills.
- Full driving license.
Desirable Skills
- Trained or experienced in Confined Space Entry or Confined Space Rescue
- Trained or experienced in using High Pressure Water Jetting
- Trained or experienced ADR & FLT Driver with licence would be an added advantage.
