Technical Sales Manager

My client is a extremely well known manufacturer of filters specialising in the production and distribution of hydraulic filters to various sectors. They have a large range of filter elements and complete filters and also have a second division of filters for industrial use. Due to an exciting period of growth they are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join their UK branch and operate throughout the UK & Ireland developing and growing the client portfolio. My client will assist you with continuous support from their back office within the UK and technical support from the groups HQ in Europe.

Technical Sales Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 DOE, company vehicle, laptop, mobile, private pension scheme and BUPA healthcare.

Travel required throughout the UK and Ireland for customer visits.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop client portfolios in various sectors – specific hydraulic distributors, original equipment manufacturers or end users.
  • Present product ranges and their quality.
  • Visit existing clients managing their accounts and expectations.
  • Visit potential new clients, identifying their needs and develop a relationship.
  • Negotiate prices while respecting profit levels.
  • Attend and participate in exhibitions to promote products and brand.
  • Record and report work complete and planned.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

  • Experienced sales professional within hydraulic / filtration environment.
  • Experience of working within a Hydraulic Filter manufacturer is an advantage.
  • Strong hydraulic and filtration understanding.
  • Good understanding of the filters market.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • The ability to identify sales opportunities and close opportunities.
  • Good level of organisation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Be able to travel UK and Ireland regularly.
