I'm working on behalf of a brilliant special school that look after students aged 11-16 that have Social, Emotional & Mental health needs. The school are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join them in a full-time capacity for ideally as soon as possible!

The school are a lovely team who put a major focus on providing very individualised support to each of their students. They're a smallish site based on fantastic grounds and have gone through some exciting changes recently.

The role

This vacancy is in a Year 9 class where you will be supporting in a class of 8 students working closely with with 2 other permanent TA's as well as the class teacher. Due to the needs of the students it is fairly important that you feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour as well as having worked with special needs in some capacity.
