We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our clients dynamic team in London.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, with a passion for advocating on behalf of employees or employers. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse employment-related matters and provide strategic advice to clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients on employment law matters, including but not limited to, discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and employee benefits.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases and develop strategies for litigation or dispute resolution.
- Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings before administrative agencies and courts.
- Stay updated on changes in employment law and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to leverage expertise and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing employment law, either in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in legal proceedings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
