Are you dedicated to making a real difference in our community. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join a leading housing association on a temporary basis. As a Supported Housing Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to individuals, empowering them to regain independence and rebuild their lives.
- Provide essential support and guidance to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them access vital services and resources.
- Create a safe and welcoming environment, offering tailored support to meet individual needs and aspirations.
- Collaborate with a passionate team to develop and implement innovative solutions to support our service users on their journey towards independence.
Preferred Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar support role, preferably within a homelessness or social care setting.
- Ability to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, showing empathy and understanding at all times.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving, coupled with resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of local support services and agencies available to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full driving license (desirable).
