Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Sports Coordinator to join our team at our school in Oldham. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting sports and physical activity throughout the school, coordinating a variety of sports programs, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality sporting opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the school's sports program, including scheduling and overseeing sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with PE teachers to enhance the physical education curriculum and ensure a wide range of sports are offered.
  • Organize and lead school sports teams, including arranging coaching sessions, fixtures, and tournaments.
  • Foster relationships with local sports clubs and organizations to expand opportunities for students.
  • Monitor and assess student participation in sports activities, promoting inclusivity and encouraging all students to get involved.
  • Manage sports facilities and equipment, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of the school's sports programs.
  • Coordinate with staff, parents, and external partners to ensure smooth operation of all sports-related activities.
  • Promote the benefits of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle across the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A background in sports, physical education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a sports coordination or similar role, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting physical activity and well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards related to sports and physical activities.
