Job Overview: We are seeking a Resourcing and Onboarding Officer to oversee an effective approach to recruitment. This role involves supporting the recruitment function and ensuring excellent candidate experience and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide advice and guidance on recruitment processes to managers and candidates, ensuring smooth and timely transfer from offer to starting employment.
  2. Update all records and systems accurately, ensuring all relevant documents are signed and saved correctly.
  3. Undertake necessary pre-employment checks, working closely with the Safer Recruitment Officer for DBS checks.
  4. Process probationary periods of new starters promptly.
  5. Assist in organizing and delivering the Corporate Induction Programme.
  6. Support Recruitment Consultants with day-to-day tasks, including candidate journey, advertising vacancies, maintaining accurate data on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), query management, and reporting.
  7. Drive a strong candidate experience through high responsiveness and engaging stakeholder management.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and security of information in line with Data Protection GDPR legislation.
  9. Champion a continuous improvement mindset and a can-do approach.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and contribute to service improvement, enhancing the user journey.
  11. Provide general support to the People & Workforce Experience team as needed.
  12. Commit to all aspects of inclusion and diversity in all your work.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with managers, candidates, and colleagues.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and on-boarding processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of Data Protection GDPR legislation.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of inclusion and diversity principles.
