Our client is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, committed to boosting clean energy generation in the UK. Their portfolio includes over 80 large scale solar and battery storage projects. We are seeking a Business Administrator to enhance their daily operations and support their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for renewables, excellent organisational and numerical skills, and a desire to contribute to a sustainable future.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive office administration and support to the Operations Manager with business management tasks.
  • Offer administrative assistance to the Finance Department, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritise allocated tasks.
  • Engage with landlords, facilities, and building service providers to maintain effective relationships.
  • Support departmental and company initiatives, adapting positively to changes.
  • Oversee the company vehicle fleet and office supplies purchasing.
  • Conduct stock taking and manage company assets with attention to detail.
  • Organise company events and assist with the induction of new joiners.
  • Address ad hoc building issues and ensure the safe use of facilities.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation bookings for company employees.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and basic invoice administration, with training provided.
  • Process business expenses and engage in basic bookkeeping activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (grade 4/C or higher).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Basic business acumen with the ability to perform manual calculations accurately.
  • Experience in facilities or health and safety management is desirable.
  • Determination and motivation to deliver results and develop skills.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and flexibly, both as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to contributing to the delivery of carbon-free energy in the UK.
