If you are working in a Buying Assistant role and looking for clear, quick progression into an Assistant Buyer role this could be the role for you.
Working for a rapidly expanding importer of products who supply to the retail industry, they have a role available in the rapidly expanding Pet category.
Your role will be to provide accurate and comprehensive administrative support to the required deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Create new products and maintain data integrity on in-house system.
- Calculate landed costs and compare pricing and product from multiple suppliers to establish the best option.
- Raise and manage Purchase Orders whilst liaising with overseas offices.
- Producing ad hoc reports and gathering information as instructed by the Buyer.
- Review and maintain the Critical Path whilst updating the in-house system accordingly.
- Managing Sample process, involving requesting, reviewing, and managing all samples for the category.
- Ensure the Pricing process is completed efficiently and accurately on behalf of the Buyer.
- Carry out the accurate filing and maintenance of all required records in line with company procedures.
- Showroom maintenance, helping to keep the showroom up to a high standard.
- Packaging development, overseeing the packaging process and issues design briefs
- Attend and take comprehensive and detailed meeting notes and actions.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience within a Buying role - ideally with Far East experience. You will have excellent analytical and numerate skills with a high degree of accuracy and a high level of attention to detail as wells solid communication skills.
