Our client, a highly reputable and well renowned medium-sized accountancy firm, based in the heart of Reading, are now eagerly seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Accounts & Tax Senior to join their highly successful accounts department.
Role Requirements
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals
- Quarterly and annual VAT returns
- Correspondence (written & verbal) with clients, HMRC and other third parties
- Preparation of partnership and sole trader tax returns
- Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600s with capital allowances claims, etc
- Assisting with dealing with HMRC enquiries
- Preparation of statutory accounts of limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industries.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Manage a shared portfolio of client accounts, dealing with ad-hoc queries, and general bookkeeping.
Person Requirements
- ACA / ACCA part qualified would be preferred but ACA / ACCA qualified and AAT qualified will all be considered if you hold the correct experience from an accountancy practice.
- You must have at least 2+ years' experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- Good understanding of basic tax accounting as well as experience in the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients is essential.
