The Company:

Due to growth, this prestigious family run manufacturing company is now seeking an experienced maintenance engineer. This is a brand new flexible position that has opened foran experienced multiskilled engineer capable of commissioning, running all technicalaspects of a site and building a team from the ground up.

Over the next few months alone, they are planning to input millions of pounds worth ofinvestment into manufacturing equipment on site in order to automate the bulk of theproduction process. They will also be expanding their products and introducing newproduction lines to improve efficiency and the overall profitability of the company.

The Role:

You will be solely responsible for all maintenance on the site, predominant production equipment but also site maintenance. You will be working with hydraulics, motors, pumps, conveyors, filters, sensors, relays and more.. You will beresponsible for all equipment and machinery, all compliance and health and safety, and equipment checks.

This is a well organized site with a lot of brand new equipment so breakdowns will be minimal and your input will be needed for planned maintenance and scheduling. Therefore being observant, condition monitoring and making ongoing improvements is a fundamental part of this role.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production / manufacturing environment e.g. metal machinery, plastic manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Able to provide evidence of showing initiative, handling preventativemaintenance / continuous improvement projects on site.
  • Strong technical skillset / understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Have completed an apprenticeship or hold an NVQ Level 3 or above in mechanical / electrical engineering.
