A wonderful primary special needs school in Windsor is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to support students with Autism, Global Developmental Delay, and a range of cognitive and learning disabilities.

The ideal candidate is a graduate with a degree (2:2 or above) who brings enthusiasm for working with SEN students and ideally has some experience in this area. This role will involve one-on-one support for students with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour, and it is especially well-suited to someone who has previously worked in roles such as youth work, support work, or mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to provide customized student support
  • Help students with emotional regulation, social skills, and behavior management
  • Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and proactive approach, ideally with a keen interest in Psychology
  • Previous experience or knowledge of restraint techniques is beneficial but not required

The school is looking for a compassionate and motivated individual who is eager to contribute to the educational journey of students with additional needs. Excellent behavior management skills and a calm approach to challenges are key attributes for success in this role.
