Academics are recruiting on behalf of a successful Independent School in Portsmouth who are seeking a passionate and empathic English Teacher to take on a full-time contract in September. The school continue to follow their founding philosophy of educating the 'whole child' - 'The head, the hand and the heart'. Their ethos serves to instil a life-long love of learning in every pupil.
With an ethos of 'excellence through nurture' is founded on a culture of respect - children at this school are considerate, courteous and kind. Small teaching groups enable staff to tailor learning and devote time to pupils' individual needs. Our independent curriculum allows for flexibility and creativity. As such, pupils are able to achieve their own personal best, with high value-added outcomes.
You will be required to plan and deliver English lessons to small classes of children in KS3 and KS4 within the school's SEN provision. Class sizes are small, no more than 6 pupils so you are able to meet their individual learning needs.
