We are seeking an Admin Team Leader to assist in the management, coordination, and development of a comprehensive county-wide business support service. This role is crucial in maintaining high-quality, responsive customer service across Direct Services and Adults & Communities sites. The successful candidate will work closely with services to provide administrative and reception support, ensuring efficient operation and excellent service delivery.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role:
- Assist managers in coordinating and managing all administrative and technical workloads, ensuring standardized systems and processes are in place and followed.
- Maintain and manage systems and records accurately, providing summaries and analysis as required.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, generic inboxes, and help lines.
- Compose and send out routine correspondence, emails, reports, meeting notes, and other documentation.
- Work with managers to establish service priorities, improve service delivery, and develop and monitor service standards and performance.
- Analyze data to contribute to the development of systems and procedures, manage performance, and provide quality assurance.
- Develop, implement, communicate, review, and update Business Continuity plans.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and develop Admin Assistants in the team.
- Allocate work amongst team members, ensuring deadlines are met and quality of work is maintained.
- Assist in recruitment, selection, and induction of staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing cover and that resources are deployed to meet business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative leadership role, preferably within a public sector or similar environment.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance management.
- Experience in managing staff and developing team capabilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and facility management.
- Must have a valid driving license as travel between sites may be required.
