Contract Type: ? Full Time, Permanent
Location: Lyneham area, with frequent travel to sites throughout Bristol
Working Hours:?40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. On call 1 in 4 weeks.
Salary:? £32,000 per year with £150 standby per week on call. Occasional weekend work with P2 pay. Emergency call out time and a half.
Here at VIVO we are recruiting a Plumber with a domestic background to be based at MoD Lyneham, to undertake pre-planned and reactive maintenance and installation of plumbing works on MoD family housing between Lyneham and Warminster.
You will start at home and have your scheduled tasks delivered through a PDA 24 hours in advance, where you will then set out to the required site in a provided work van. You will be installing, maintaining, and repairing all domestic plumbing works except for central heating systems, including showers, baths, taps, heated towel rails, drains, pipes and tanks within set time scales and to a high quality. This role will be customer facing, as you will be interacting the MoD families that reside in the properties that you will be operating in.
What you'll need to do the role
First and foremost, this role will require you to have a City & Guilds Level 1 or 2 in Plumbing or an equivalent qualification and it is essential you have worked as a qualified plumber.
You will also be driving between multiple locations in your company van, therefore you will require a full UK driving license. You will be provided specialist tools but you must be able to provide your own hand tools.
It is highly desirable that you have a background in domestic plumbing.
You must be an excellent communicator as you will be interacting with MoD families in their properties.
Due to site restrictions this role will require you to pass BPSS clearance.
