Are you passionate about making a difference in a child's educational journey? Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 student at a nurturing 2-form entry primary school in Southwark.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 3 child, helping them to thrive in their learning environment. Your role will involve assisting with academic tasks, promoting positive behavior, and supporting the child's emotional and social development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about helping children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a Year 3 student on a 1:1 basis.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child is engaged and participating.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to implement strategies that support the child's learning and development.
Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children's learning.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
