Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Complex Care Nurse to provide specialized care for CG, a 29-year-old female with specific medical needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex care requirements and will be responsible for delivering personalized, compassionate, and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enteral Feeding: Administer Enteral RIG/PEG/MicKey Bolus and Enteral-RIG/PEG/J/MicKey pump feedings.
- Gastrostomy Care: Manage and replace gastrostomy tubes.
- Client-Specific Mental Health Care: Provide mental health support tailored to the client's specific needs.
- Mandatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all mandatory compliance regulations and procedures.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications accurately and safely.
- Nebulisation (Aerosol Therapy): Perform nebulisation therapy as required.
- Observations: Monitor and record vital signs and other health indicators.
- Oral Suctioning: Perform oral suctioning when necessary.
- Pressure Area Care: Prevent and manage pressure ulcers and other skin integrity issues.
- Seizure Management: Provide care and intervention for epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
- Tracheostomy Care: Perform tracheal suctioning, routine tracheostomy care, and emergency tracheostomy resuscitation.
- Ventilation via Tracheostomy: Manage ventilation support via tracheostomy.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current NMC registration.
- Experience: Proven experience in complex care nursing, particularly in the competencies listed above.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
