We're seeking a motivated Accounts & Audit Senior to join our growing accountancy firm. You'll manage client portfolios, prepare financial statements, conduct audits, and mentor junior team members, including apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents
- Conduct audits adhering to accepted standards and regulations
- Perform risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans
- Guide and support junior staff, particularly two accounts apprentices
- Review work, provide feedback, and foster professional development
- Handle a high amount portfolio covering audit, accounts, corporate tax, and management accounts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively
- Streamline internal processes for increased efficiency
- Implement best practices to enhance service quality
- Ensure practice-wide adherence to accounting and financial regulations
- Stay current with evolving tax laws and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA with ambition to progress
- Strong knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional organization and problem-solving abilities
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Taxcalc, IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Sage 50 is beneficial
