Job Title: Year 1 Teacher Assistant
Location: Harpenden
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Contract: Permanent, starting October 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
- Support students during practical activities and excursions.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members and parents to support student progress.
Requirements as a Year 1 Teacher Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young people's lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.
- Be able to commute to Harpenden in a timely fassion.
