Private Client Solicitor

My client is a legal 500 law firm, currently on the lookout for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of private client matters including Wills, Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, Trusts, Probate, Estate Administration, Taxation of Trusts and Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Deputyship applications.
  • Provide compassionate and clear legal advice to clients, handling sensitive and often distressing situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Testamentary Capacity requirements and navigate complex legal issues effectively.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high standards of client care and satisfaction.
  • Engage in business development activities to promote our legal services, attract new clients, and enhance the firm's profile in the industry.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth through effective networking, marketing, and involvement in local community activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private client law.
  • Proven experience in managing a broad range of private client matters with a track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with effective time management, billing practices, and client care skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to build trust with clients and referrers, along with experience in business development and marketing.
  • STEP qualification is desirable but not essential.
