Solution Architect

Role Overview: The Solutions Architect will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. They will be responsible for evaluating design options, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and maintaining project design integrity throughout the implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units, technology groups, and external partners, to evaluate design alternatives and formulate solid recommendations.
Govern the adherence of project executions to the established designs, and assess the implications of any proposed changes.
Facilitate design discussions and workshops, engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders, including developers, operations staff, and business representatives.
Manage the distribution and formal presentation of designs for stakeholder approval.
Conduct peer reviews of design documents to ensure quality and consistency.
Contribute to the technical community by supporting the enhancement of software development practices and standards.
Provide accurate design estimations to inform business case development.
Work in tandem with Lead Solution Architects and other team members to support a variety of business initiatives.
Desired Expertise:

Proficiency in a broad spectrum of technologies, such as Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud Solutions, and Data Streaming.
Demonstrated experience in solution architecture within diverse operational environments.
Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
A solid understanding of design governance principles.
Proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Competence in identifying and managing design-related risks and issues.
Strong influencing skills, with the capacity to drive decisions at a senior level for optimal outcomes.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred, but not mandatory):

Involvement in planning support, including shaping the scope, delivery, and scheduling of projects, as well as contributing to design aspects.
A history of effective collaboration with other professionals in Change Management and Technology sectors.
Exposure to various business domains, particularly those related to regulatory compliance and financial operations such as anti-money laundering (AML), card services, point of sale systems, payment processing networks, core banking functions, and treasury management systems.
