SEN Teaching Assistant - SN3

Do you have a passion for working with children who require additional support? My client is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with children with additional needs. Join them to create a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can excel. This role will be starting on 23rd September on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year, working full-time frmo Monday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the class teacher with general Teaching Assistant responsibilities
  • Working with small groups of children who require additional support
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children by accurately assessing risks
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and using your initiative
  • Communicating effectively with children and adults, both verbally and in writing

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Empathetic, patient, and caring, with a strong understanding of children's individual needs
  • Knowledgeable about SEN, predominantly with ASD
  • Skilled in forming effective relationships with children
  • Flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team
