Spray / Plating Technician required for an eyewear manufacturer based in Brentford. The ideal candidate will have experience in spray painting and water plating.
**Spray / Plating Technician
Position Overview
- Clean, sand, and mask eyewear components to prepare them for painting or plating.
- Ensure all surfaces are free from contaminants and defects prior to coating.
- Mix and apply paint coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment.
- Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats as required, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes.
- Maintain and operate spray booths, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Operate plating equipment to apply metallic coatings (e.g., gold, silver, nickel) to eyewear components.
- Monitor and adjust plating baths and solutions to ensure optimal conditions for coating.
- Inspect finished products for uniformity, thickness, and adherence to quality standards.
