Customer Support Administrator
Salary £26,500 per annum dependent on skills and experience
Office Based – Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Hours – 8.30 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday – flexibility considered

Alpacka.co.uk is a small packaging business with a big presence in the digital overprint industry. Located close to Wakefield city centre and the M1 network, we print and supply packaging, including kraft paper bags, eco padded bags and product wraps to a range of clients in various sectors across the UK. We offer and provide environmentally friendly products, for a market that thrives on quick response times, quality and print expertise.
The role
The role combines daily organisation of production and dispatch, along with customer liaison and all related office administration to provide exceptional levels of service. As a small team, (2 in the office) we need someone with a hands-on style, who can multi-task and can be relied on to see things through.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Handling emails to efficiently process all jobs for production
- Answering the phone, handling enquiries, requests and dealing with queries
- Booking on jobs and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of job bags, job numbers and PO's
- Checking for the charging of additional work and extra amends where appropriate
- Liaising with the Shopfloor printers to know the status of jobs for on time delivery
- Working with the Director to explore new business opportunities and creating databases of people to contact
- Organising the ordering and constant supply of shopfloor and office consumables
- Being the main point of contact in the office in the absence of the Director
- Coordinating health and safety activities to ensure compliance
- Dealing with post, holiday booking records, filing and general office organisation
